The Franciscan Museum and Cimiez Monastery showcases the Franciscan way of life from the 18th century to modern day. Cathédrale Orthodoxe Russe St-Nicolas à Nice was ordered to be constructed by Czar Nicolas II. It dates back to the Belle Epoque, when teh Romanovs toured and played in the Riviera. Considered to be the most beautiful Orthodox cathedral outside of Russia, it is home to an abundance of Russian art, and can be spotted from almost anywhere in Nice, as it is topped with ornate onion-shaped domes.
